This is a lovely Stradivari model 15 1/2 inch viola. It is hand made with high quality tone woods, selected solid Spruce top, naturally air dried, selected seasoned lightly flamed maple back, Ribs & Scroll also naturally air dried. All fittings are of ebony including fingerboard and Hand-carved tuning pegs and chin rest. The tail piec is a modern light weight metal with integral fine tuners for ease of tuning. I have fitted a high quality maple bridge and Pirastro Tonica strings which help bring out the warm and rich tone qualities that this beautiful instrument is capable of producing. Have a listen to the sound clip. It is hand varnished and very slightly antiqued to give an appearance of age, I think its been very well executed. (Study the photos and see what you think).
